Education plays very important role in the prosperity of the country, the revitalization of the nation and the happiness of the people. Nowadays, new demand and mission were put forward with the development of economy, politics, culture and society. Theory should be given priority to the development of education. Inheriting and developing Lenin’s educational ideology is not only the demand of education theory research in China, but the actual need of education career development in our country. An educational theory that have distinct theme and meet the requirement of age should be formed by promoting Lenin’s educational ideology in China, aiming to boost the development of education.Lenin’s educational ideology is a systematic scientific theory. Lenin’s educational ideology was gradually formed on the base on inheriting Marx education theory and the Russian excellent culture, absorbing the Soviet proletariat struggle experience and the process of socialist practice. There are three stages of Lenin’s educational ideology formation:early ideas formation, middle of the ideological development and late mature. It is a long-term work to study Lenin’s educational ideology in China. And remarkable success has been achieved. On the basis of studying current research and being faithful to the original, the main content of Lenin’s educational ideology was disentangled in detail by using documentation method, practice method and interdisciplinary method. The Lenin’s educational ideology was expounded at five aspects including the essence of education theory, the status of education theory, the orientation of education theory, power source and methodology of education theory. The Lenin’s educational ideology originated in the Soviet social practice, and it can be used to provide guidance for the practice. Lenin’s educational ideology not only includes the general educational principle and common methods, but has its own characteristics, including systematicness, openness, practicalness and epochal. The combination of theory and practice, and the guidance of theory were the basic method of the Marx doctrine theory, and is also the lifeblood of Lenin’s educational ideology. In this study, the Lenin’s educational ideology was used to analyze the practical problems of education and exploit the contemporary evaluation of Lenin’s educational ideology, based on the important role of education in social development, the education content of ideology, the fundamental task, goal orientation and environment of educational development.
