Positive psychology is an emerging field of study psychology in the United States launched at the 20 th century. Positive Psychology is committed to the study of human development potential and virtue, whose research focuses on the human aspects of their positive factors, should advocate the inherent psychology, real, potential constructive force, virtue as a starting point, advocate with a positive attitude to make a new interpretation of the psychological phenomena of people(including psychological problems), so as to stimulate people’s own inner strength and positive qualities and use these positive forces to promote human qualities development. positive psychology research provide a new perspective to study the field of education, the goal of positive psychology is to explore and develop human potential, and develop a positive personality and human happiness, and this is one of the goals of students in education.Meanwhile, the "full-time compulsory English curriculum standards" put special emphasis on English language learning to pay attention to each student’s emotions, stimulate their interest in learning English, to help them build a sense of accomplishment and self-confidence to learn and enhance practical ability and creative spirit. Positive Psychology to provide theoretical guidance for junior high school English teaching, positive psychology in junior high school English Teaching, helping students to develop a positive personality, to establish a harmonious relationship between teachers and students, to stimulate motivation and interest in learning English, to form the active cognitive have a positive impact on the learning process, which junior high school English teaching has a positive effect.This thesis is based on relevant research results both at home and abroad,to do junior high school English Teaching investigation by use of literature, questionnaires, interviews, observation, case law and so on, analyze its problems from teachers, students, English teaching environment three aspects and put forward some positive psychology strategies in junior high school English teaching, and finally, by the case of the application of positive psychology in junior high school English Teaching in CH to prove that positive psychology, to promote junior English development of teaching.This paper includes the following six sections.The first part is an introduction. The main issues raised included, significance, reviewed relevant researches, ideas and methods of research and innovation research and so on.The second part is an overview of positive psychology. By combing the literature of positive psychology on three pillars: a positive emotional experience, positive personality traits and positive environment, and so to explore the importance of positive psychology in junior high school English teaching applications.The third part is the Survey of junior high school English teaching. From the perspective of positive psychology to investigate junior high school English Teaching through questionnaires, interviews and classroom observation method. Including the investigation of English teachers, mainly from the positive philosophy of education and teaching as well as the implementation of the three aspects of English teaching environment surveys; survey of students from learning English attitudes, interests, class participation, teacher-student relations, the environment and other aspects of learning English investigation. Through the Survey of English teaching, its problems were analyzed from teachers, students, teaching environmental aspects, and summarize the reasons.The fourth part is positive psychology in junior high school English Teaching Strategies. For the above problems, combined with the promotion of positive psychology proposed junior English teaching strategies: First, give full play to the English teacher’s "positive force", the second is to tap students’ positive personality traits, and strengthen the motivation, the third is to build a positive teaching of English environment.The fifth part is a case study of positive psychology in junior high school English teaching applications.
