Positive psychology is a symbol which is based Seligman and Csikzentmihalyi paper published in 2001 in this new field.Positive psychology use scientific principles and methods to study happiness and initiate the positive aspects in order to study the psychological quality and focus on the happiness and development of human.With the positive psychology concept in the minds of the status of the deepening,it is also used in many other areas.Such as human resources management,junior high school education."The students need to have the positive feeling about English learning.Then they can own the driving force to keep learning English and get the achievement.Negative emotions not only affect the English learning effect,but will affect the students,development.Teachers should always concerned about students' emotions in English teaching and try to create a liberal,democratic and harmonious atmosphere."So it is especially important to integrate into the forefront of positive psychology theoretical ideas to the forefront of English teaching.In junior high school English teaching,it makes a big difference for positive psychology to stimulate motivation to learn English and form positive personality,as well as to build a harmonious relationship between teachers and students.The thsis is baesd on relevant results both home and abroad to do a survey about junior high school English Teaching by using the questionnaires,interviews,comparative law.We can verify the importance of Positive Psychology in Junior high school English teaching by analysing the comparative results.Finally,we can compare my classes with the other two classes in Xiamen No.11 Middle School to verify its effectivenessThis paper includes the following six sections.The first part is the preface,mainly comprising research background,research significance.The second part is the literature review.It is mainly to tease out the three important aspects of positive psychology:positive emotions,positive character and positive environment.Then we will discuss the importance of Junior High school English teaching.The third part is to introduce the research ideas and methods.The fourth part is to investigate the status of junior high school English teaching and analize problems from the perspective of positive psychology.Then explore how to use the positive teaching strategies in junior high school.We should develop the positive personality of the teachers and students and cultivate the positive emotion and build a harmonious environment by using the strategies.The fifth part is to verify the effectiveness of positive psychology strategies by using of case studies in positive psychology strategies between class 5?6 and class 1?2.The sixth part is the conclusion.Summarize this study and show the lack of the research.Eventually,point out the future research directions.
