Cooperative learning is a creative instructional theory and strategy adopted by a lot of country in the world, which is advocated as innovative teaching strategies by curriculum reform of our country. Recently, with the constant deepening of the new curriculum reform, cooperative learning in English teaching in China has been widely used. Its interactive way of learning makes up for the lack of communication in collective teaching. Its active learning environment makes up for the dull of traditional teaching methods, which teacher teaching students study. Its concept of mutual cooperation, mutual assistance trains students to have good social quality such as communication, interflow, tolerance, mutual aid, care.This paper first discusses the connotation,elements and theoretical basis of Cooperative Learning in English-Writing Teaching in Grade Six. It lays the theoretical foundation for the study. Then the study uses the questionnaires, interviews to study the Cooperative Learning in English-Writing Teaching in Grade Six of Shi Jiazhuang.Through the analysis of the survey data, it was found that there are some problems in the implementation of cooperative learning. The main problems which were found are as follows: The construction of cooperative learning is unreasonable; Teachers’ participation is not balanced; The evaluation system of cooperative learning is not fully developed. Based on this situation, the study takes the corresponding measures: clear and definite the cooperative learning tasks,schedule the cooperative learning time, give the adequate guidance of teachers,establishment an effective evaluation mechanism.
