Today, most fathers are the backbones of family and they spend most of their time working and releasing life pressure, which leads to fathers spend little time concentrating on their children’s education. Therefore, we see a awkward phenomenon that female holds a dominate position on children’s education. In this paper, we think 3 to 6 years old is the critical period for the development of infants’ gender constancy, and it also plays a great role in the socialization of infants and the fostering their personal characters. Both kindergartens and family are key places for the development of infants’ gender constancy. In the kindergarten, male teachers are far less than female teachers because of people’s traditional thoughts and pay offer. Thus female teachers are dominating the kindergarten education. The lack of male in the kindergarten and family is unfavorable for the development of infants’ gender in the long term. So, fathers’ participation in caring and educating infants definitely affects the development of infants’ gender constancy. Many studies demonstrate that father plays a critical role in the education of infants and in the development of infants’ gender constancy. This paper take the infants range from 3-6 and their fathers in Gao Yi county Shi Jiazhuang city as our study objects. And we adopted questiomaire, interviewing and documents methods to analyze the relation between the participation of fathers in their children’s education and the 3-6 year-old children’s gender constancy. And we try to find the problems and give reasonable suggestions in order to make fathers participate in their children’s education better and promote the development of their gender constancy. The research shows that children’s gender identity and gender stability development is better than gender consistency. Girls’ gender constancy is better than boys’. Fathers do more in educating and caring infants and role instruction and the former is more than the latter. Besides, fathers undertake more feeling communication with boys than with girls. To some extent, the stability of infants’ gender can be predicted by the feeling communication between fathers and children as well as the plan of development. From the above results, some suggestions are put as follows: Firstly, the education of gender consistency needs to be developed to promote the development of infants’ gender constancy. Secondly, the education of boy’s gender constancy should be improved. Thirdly, father should undertake more leisure activities with children than ever and pay attention to the development of being a father. Fourthly, fathers should concentrate on caring and educating girls. Fifthly, father should pay special attention to the communication with children and their development plans.
