The concept of "We Media", borrowed from overseas, was characterized by the decentralization of the subject, strong interaction in communication, high speed in responding to content and the low credibility of information. With the booming of the Internet, We Media has become a significant medium influencing people’s values and behavior. In contemporary society which is transforming rapidly and filled with diversified ideas, college students are increasingly, remarkably affected by We Media, and their immaturity in mind even makes them easier to be attracted, or seduced, by newly-emerging thoughts and events. As the social concentration in the period of digital globalization, their cyber responsibilities of "I", of others and of society have been influenced by multiple social factors. We Media as the future form of social media will surely affect the students’recognition to the world, and the peruse into the similarity between the transmitting law of We Media and the psychological law of "post-1990" students will surely be beneficial to universities, teachers and students themselves. The current prosperity of We Media hugely impacts and challenges the conventional ideological and political education under traditional Internet circumstance, mainly in terms of values and methods. We Media has built a new stage for the propaganda of ideological and political education, but meanwhile caused a new challenge. Students’counselors in universities should all be active in creating fresh means of ideological and political education by combining both the conventional method and its post-conventional counterpart.
