There are a lot of left-behind children in the countryside with the process of rural surplus labor force to cities, due to the influence of urban and rural dual system. According to sixth census data, our country rural left-behind children under the age of 18 are 61.0255 million in 2010. All times single guardianship type of left-behind children make up a significant portion of the children in various types of guardianship left-behind children. The defect of single guardianship type of left-behind children’s family education is single monitoring model of the main causes of left-behind children series problems. Studing the family education problem of single guardianship type of left-behind children to improve the rural quality of all types of family education of left-behind children, solve the problem of other derivatives, improve the rural population quality has important significance in the future.The single guardianship type of left-behind children who are from a village of Ningyang in the Shandong province are an example in this paper. We understand the present situation and problems of the single guardianship type of left-behind children family education in the village with the questionnaire and interview method. On the basis of exploring the village left-behind mother demand for family education, and professional social work service, we try to search for some effective measures to solve the problem of left-behind children family education. We found the fact through the study that the mother with lower education is the main part of the family education in the single guardianship type of left-behind children in the family. Women have defects in the family education concept, education behavior and education effect. They are lack of family education guidance but have strong demand to improve the quality of children’s family education. The author found that social work method can improve the quality of family education of the single guardianship type of left-behind children by the social work service. At present we want to solve the family education’s problem of single guardianship type of left-behind children still need countries, governments at all levels, social work and community support and cooperation.
