| The curriculum reform of graduate student is an important part of China’s postgraduate educational innovation. As an essential link of postgraduate education, class learning have a great influence on graduate students’ quality and decides the implementation of educational goal. So the scientificity and rationality of the curriculum determines the students’ study result and affect their intellectual structure as well as research ability and creativity. This study is targeted to postgraduate student of humanities and social sciences collages, and to explore the optimization methods of curriculum reform.The first part is overview, including the background, the significance of the research, the definition of related concepts, the literature review, the research methods and the innovation points and difficulties of this study.The second part is the investigation of graduate student curricula. This part describes the development of postgraduate education of Z University, and collects and collates information of curriculum types and students recruitment of humanities and social sciences majors. At the same time, the curriculum satisfaction survey was also handled.The third part is based on the second part, analyzing the problems and reasons. It is discovered that the curricula of graduate education lack professional characteristics, including the imperfect construction of core courses, the lack of instruction on the making of study plan, and the irrational curriculum settings. Otherwise, the curriculum structure of graduate education is enclosing instead of exoteric, mainly in the absence of interdisciplinary curricula, the lack of teachers’ participation, and the defective informatization and sharing of postgraduate courses. The reasons are that the construction of curricula lack initiative and limited by majors and degree arrangement.The last part is the optimization of graduate curricula. Based on the investigation of Z University, the graduate education should do as follows to optimize its curriculum settings, including increasing funds, stimulating the initiative of collages to set professional courses, changing the traditional ideas, constructing an open curriculum structure and evaluate system, and promoting the cooperation of universities and resource sharing. |
