The collaboration of home education and school education is significantly important to the children. The parental involvement of the school has become a hot point with the development of our society and transform of the educational management. At present, the theorical and pratical studies on parental involvement of the school in China are still in exploration stage, then there are more value to do further researches on this field.This study taken with questionnaire and interview method is to discuss the current condition of the parental involvement of the elementary school in Zhengzhou, and the difference of the condition among the different parents’ backgrounds to summarize the problems of parental involvement. There are four parts of the paper. Firstly, the paper introduced some contents and literature review as the research basement. Secondly, the paper introduced the implementation process of the survey according to the research design. The third part of the paper demonstrated the condition of parental involvement. Finally, the paper discussed the results and suggestions.The major results of this study are as followed: The current awareness condition of the parental involvement in Zhengzhou elementary schools is less optimistic; The intentional degree of the parents is above the average, but the practical degree is below the average; The intentional and practical degree of the parents is relatively low on “support of resources” and “involvement to desicion”; The intentional degree of the parents of the elementary school are significantly different due to family’ income, the nature of the school and administrative region of schools; The practical degree of the parents are significantly different due to parents’ positon, parents’ educational level, parents’ vocational kind, family’ income, the construction of the family, the nature of the school and administrative region of school. The study put forward suggestions for the parents, schools, educational administrative organizations basing on the research results to improve the condition.
