Space has always existed in the sociological study. Due to the efforts of Lefebvre and the subsequent sociologists, space has become an important research perspective of the cities. Based on the social relations of time and space, sociologists study the important position of time and space in human life. Space turning is one of the recent recently important sociological shift. At present, China is in an important transition period when mobility and integration between urban and rural has gradually increased. Among of the huge base among the migrants, children‘s living conditions have attracted great concern. This paper studies migrant children through the perspective of space, trying to develop tentative description and theoretical analysis of their spatial behaviors and spatial practices. The research methods of the children are depth interviews and field observation. Semi-structured interviews are adopted according to the characteristics of the children, because they’re not only to grasp the main contents of the interviews, but give migrant children independent expressions of space. The text analyzes migrant children ‘s living situations on M town of B city through investigations of their living space, daily behavioral space and inductive space, finding that they undergo spatial limitations in varying degrees. Spatial dilemma makes migrant children hard to achieve real urbanization, whether in the way of culture or lifestyle. It’s found that migrant children are not individuals without contributions, but active individuals. They attempt to integrate into urban life by discourse construction, and to form understanding of cities,to occupy and reform their own space by spatial practices. It fully embodies the spatial awareness and practices of migrant children by "walking" and "playing" to occupy and transform blocks. The conclusion of this paper: through the analyses of their spatial dilemma and behaviors of migrant children, it is found that migrant children struggle for power to deal with spatial limitations through spatial practices. This text on one hand reveals migrant children ‘s daily life and real life which makes the society and the public understand the flowing spatial dilemma on the other hand expects to enrich the research of domestic migrant children and provide new empirical study data.
