In the course of the study, using economics, sociology, law and sports theory, carried on the analysis to the social responsibility of China’s professional athletes, the definition, contents, the deficiencies and the reasons, and creatively put forward our country professional athlete social responsibility system, the five part includes the political responsibility, economic responsibility, culture responsibility, legal responsibility and moral responsibility. In the performance of social responsibility issues in the process of concentrated expression in the training game, daily life, charity etc. The subjective reason is that professional athletes’ social responsibility consciousness is not strong and misunderstanding on the social responsibility; the objective reason is the government absent, education and supervision has not bring into full play; the public and the media’s power is weak, and no grow into the backbone to push professional athletes perform their social responsibility.In terms of the problems existing in the process of perform, particularity, combined with our professional athletes to perform the social responsibility of the actual situation as well as professional athletes of this group, we should be from the government, social and professional athlete own three aspects to do the work, thus to promote the professional athletes better and more actively fulfill their social responsibilities.
