According to the study on the theory of validity and Ordinary High School English Curriculum Standards(Experiment), this paper analyses the ten examinations selected, covering of 2012 national High school achievement proficiency tests, and aims to check whether these questions meet the requirement of the Curriculum Standards and whether those have a high validity or not. This paper tries to give some suggestions and to improve the validity of the Multiple Choices by analyzing the present situation.The team of six analyzes papers in accordance with the same criteria separately then unifies the ideas. The Team talks about the divergences together until come to a conclusion. This paper analyses the content validity of the Multiple Choices on the view of the Curriculum Standards from 3 parts: subject; function; and grammar & vocabulary. Firstly, based on the curriculum standards for reference, the author checks whether these three parts embody all the content of items in the “curriculum standards”; Secondly, the thesis verifies whether all the items have clear definition by selecting representative multiple choices and analyzing the rationality of the subject; function; and grammar & vocabulary. Finally, the paper analyzes all these three parts whether are in the defined items; in other words, take the content correlation into consideration by using some representative multiple choices.The study finds that, firstly, although each province has different features, some provinces have wide scope in subject; function; and grammar & vocabulary, moreover, some provinces have high rate of repeat on the same subject; function; and grammar & vocabulary, on the whole, all the projects are in the consistent with all the items in the “curriculum standards” except some number projects. Secondly, the author finds that some definitions are ambiguous in the multiple choices, which makes it difficult to define some projects. Finally, some multiple choices can’t find suitable items in the “curriculum standards”. The classification of some items is not overall. In the end, this paper not only lists the problems found, but also gives some suggestions on the senior high school teaching and makes a request to the English test. Then the author explains the limitation and the future research directions according to the research.
