University public physical education, on the one hand,should pay attention to the able-bodied students’ life-long physical education.On the other hand,it should show more concern for the sick, disabled and infirm these special groups of students.With the methods of literature review, questionnaire, expert interview, mathematical statistics and other methods,this paper analyses the investigation of the status implementation of the Public Health Protection Course in Chongqing colleges, and the conclusions are as follows:There are a certain number of sick,disabled and infirm students in the colleges and universities of Chongqing. But Sports Rehabilitation programs designed for the disabled and weak university students are not generally offered in Chongqing. Chongqing university Public Health Protection Course is not widespread,and practical courses situation is not optimistic. Most of the colleges in Chongqing do not open the course because of the teachers, teaching materials, location equipment and the student scale. For the disabled and weak students, they often adopt the method of exempting from examination, applying for advanced standing or earning a sports credit through another course. While students are not satisfied with the methods for dealing with the sports course, they prefer that the disabled and sick students are offered the Public Health Protection Course together. The universities having opened the Public Health Protection Course in Chongqing, whose Course objectives, course type, course content settings are relatively mature and reasonable, have no mature theory of teaching materials and plenty of specialized equipment and facilities. And its Evaluation of students is the traditional way of teachers’evaluating students, usually through a combination of performance and test scores of students in the final assessment and evaluation. Students’feedback for the curriculum and teachers’ satisfaction is relatively ideal.Through the comparative analysis,we find that college’s opening the Public Health Protection Course has certain advantages for the disabled and sick students’ sports effects.The concrete performance is in three aspects:Students’sports status is better in the colleges opening the course;The sick, disabled and infirm students significantly increased the frequency of physical activity;The sick, disabled and infirm students present a more positive attitude towards sports.The colleges having opened the Public Health Protection Course in Chongqing also encounter a dilemma in the process of the construction of the course, which performs as follows:Students’ complex situation and the difficulty to unify curriculum goals influence the course effect; Small choice of teaching content; Difficulty of organizing course duration for students from different departments; No proven course materials; Severe shortage of specialized venues and facilities; Lack of full-time teachers.In view of the situation of the course in Chongqing, making part of the design for aspects of the overall objective of the College Sports health rehabilitation courses, course content, class placement, teacher team construction, etc.,to promote the development of Public Health Protection Course of Chongqing College.
