In recent years Mongolia- China collaboration is increasing in various fields. The numbers of Mongolians learning Chinese is increasing day by day,but still there are some problems existing in teaching Chinese,one of the most prominent problem is on Chinese textbooks.In most of the school,they prefer two sets of textbooks ‘“Standard Chinese” and “Happy Chinese” as the most suitable teaching materials. This paper introduces the use of teaching materials in Mongolian primary school and presents the current situation analysis and comparison between “Standard Chinese” and “Happy Chinese” including teaching objectives, Requirements of teaching Chinese learners and features. This paper compares the composition of two sets of materials based on the teaching content, coreography, vocabulary [new words] new words arrangement, the text analysis,syntax distribution,work books and practice and the advantages and disadvantages.In this paper I have used varieties of research methods such as comparison method, statistical method, investigation method, observation method and analysis method etc. The questionaries induce the difficulties of the two sets of teaching materials, how the Mongolian primary school student learn Chinese and why do they learn Chinese etc.Based on the above analysis and comparison, I put forward my view on how the Chinese textbooks for Mongolian primary school students should be set up[Mongolian primary school Chinese teaching guide book] and put forward some suggestions and advice to the textbook writers with the hope to help in writing perfect,rich and resourceful Teaching language materials.
