Famous Soviet education practitioners and educational theorist Suhomlinski believes that "beauty is the sound source of moral purity, spiritual rich and powerful physique. The most important task of Aesthetic is to teach children to see the noble spirit, kind, sincere from the around the world, and as a basis for establishing their own beauty. " As we can see the important role of aesthetics for the quality Education. As a basic discipline of high school students, art class played the role of aesthetic education, it is charged with the task of aesthetic education. After Western painting was introduced to China, the proportion of legend among art materials occupy a large part, especially Impressionist paintings. Early Western modernist painting, especially Impressionist paintings advocate the use of color to capture the instant impression of the nature. This article discussed the application of impressionist painting into high school color teaching.In order to discuss the theme, the structure of this paper expand sequentially, mainly divided into four parts. The first part is to introduce the West early modernist painting, in particular the development, characteristics and the main representative of impressionist paintings for doing the groundwork. The second part is Impressionist paintings and color teaching of high school art. It analyzed the status of high school color teaching, the goal of high school color teaching and impressionist paintings’ value for high school color teaching. The third part includes the main instructional design, the characteristics of impressionist paintings discussed in detail in the main instructional design, operational considerations and subject teaching cases, to cultivate the aesthetic ability of students in different types of art teaching through impressionist painting. The fourth part is the summary and outlook of Impressionist paintings into high school color teaching. Through the above discussions, integrate the impressionist paintings effectively into high school color teaching has important practical significance.
