The current suicidal condition of adolescent is not optimistic, according to previous studies, most of the adolescent suicide attempters have suicidal ideation before implementation of suicidal behavior, suicidal ideation increased the risk of suicidal behavior and the succeed of suicide. This study gives a definition of suicidal ideation for individual temperament condition in the face of stress and pressure, inner wanted to end his life. The influence factors of suicidal ideation are numerous, this study focused on the influence of life events and coping styles on suicidal ideation. Study 1 is mainly a cross sectional study, focused on relations of two combinations of life events stress, coping styles and suicidal ideation. Based on diathesis-stress theory, the cognitive theory of suicidality and the hopelessness theory of suicide, explore the relationship between life event stress and suicidal ideation, as well as the approaching, avoidant coping and suicidal ideation, and reveal effect of coping style between life events and suicidal ideation from the perspective of dynamic ways. In study 2, we divided the students of 3 grades according to their scores of suicidal ideation into groups, selected students in the high group yearly and in the low group yearly, totally 12. Make a half structured face-to-face interview with them. Generalize talk content of 2 boys, 2 girls from each grade. With qualitative analysis,furtherly reveal ’ inner experience of students with high and low suicidal ideation score.This research adopted the questionnaire successively investigate students from six to eight grade of two middle schools in the period of one year. In the first year and second year students filled in the questionnaire of Positive and Negative Ideation(PANSI),self-evaluation of adolescent life events scale, and self-reported coping strategies scale.Through repeated measures analysis of variance, regression analysis and cross lag analysisand multiple regression analysis and other statistical methods for quantitative results,through a structured interview for qualitative results.The specific conclusions are as follows:(1) Compared with six to eight grade junior high school students in the first year, life events stress decreases, approach coping style reduced and avoidant coping increased,suicidal ideation rised.(2) From the point of transverse relationship, all dimensions of life events stress are positively correlated with suicidal ideation score at the same period of T1 and T2. In all kinds of life events, classmates and friends stress and pressure loss in T1 and T2 can significantly predict suicidal ideation of the same period in the two periods, classmate and friend stress can positively predict suicidal ideation, loss of pressure can be negative predicting suicidal ideation. During the period of T1, parenting stress can positively predict suicidal ideation. At the same period of T1 and T2, approach coping styles were negatively related with suicidal ideation, and avoidant coping styles were positively related to suicidal ideation.(3) There is a mutual prediction relationship between life event stress and suicidal ideation, compared with suicidal ideation predictive power of life events stress, life events stress is stronger causal variable, the cause of life event stress could significantly positively predict suicidal ideation. Life events stress for the forecast of suicidal ideation entirely through the cumulative effect of life events stress and the indirect effect of life events stress to the same period.(4)Approach coping style has mutual prediction and suicidal ideation, suicidal ideation can significantly negatively predict approach coping style, approach coping style can also significantly negatively predict suicide ideation. Avoidant coping style and suicidal ideation does not exist predictive relationship to each other.(5) Life events stress can negatively predict overall coping style of junior middle school students, coping style made a buffering effect between life event stress and suicidal ideation, weakened effect of life events stress on suicidal ideation.(6) The interview results showed that different degrees of difference existed for students from stable high suicidal ideation group and low suicidal ideation group, whichabout self assessment, cognitive reasoning, the choice of approach, attitudes on life, death and suicidal events.
