In general, the students in rural junior high schools have a low level of English writing proficiency. And this calls for a change for English writing teaching. English learners, English researchers and teachers have faced many problems on English writing which are very confusing and troublesome. They can’t wait to think up some ways tc solve the problems. There are some well-known ways on English writing teaching. Bui they are not so efficient in writing teaching. But there is an old and traditional way tc teach writing which is nearly forgotten. That is imitation. We can give new meaning tc it.Exploring an efficient way of the teaching of English writing connected witl memetics is the focus of the paper. On the basis of Darwin’s evolution theory, Dawkins put forward memetics theory. Memetics theory is first used to show the law of cultural evolution. Memetics core word is "meme." It is similar to a gene. Memetics theory is actually a scientific study of the meme’s reproduction and transmission. The core terrr of memetics is "meme". The author puts the memetics into the practice of her writing teaching practice. Theories and the experiment show imitation writing can benefi students in improving their English writing skills, and imitation in teaching Englisl writing is really efficient.
