In many sports competition the athletes always use specific movement or posture to deceive their opponents, these are called the fake action. For example, in the process of the penalty shot in the football, athletes head the line of sight to one side of the goal, but shoot the ball toward the other side of the goal, in order to achieve the goal by misleading the goalkeeper to produce the mistake action of catching. Fake action has also been widely used in basketball, players chose another direction to pass or shoot the ball when they watching a direction of gaze,in order to avoid the opponent’s effective defense or make opponents lose the best time or location. With the progress of human civilization, sports’ competitiveness has been fully released, the athletes constantly broke the records of human sports ’ limits, competitive level enhances unceasingly, Every minute counts. any improper handling or tactical errors will result in the loss of the game. In order to score the success, people turn to study the additional factors of improving the level of movement or increasing the chances of winning, which include the head fake action. The purpose of this study is to explore the head fake actionsCcognitive factors in the movement to provide preliminary theoretical support to the research in the field; To provide a preliminary theoretical basis and suggestion for the sports training of needing to use the head fake actions, so as to improve athletic performance and chances of winning. This study selected the head of basketball fake action of the typical fake action were studied. Participants sued to judge the passing direction of simulation personnel as soon as possible, inconsistencies in the personnel’s head direction, led to the latency and the rising of error rate of participants’ judgment for the passing direction. Experiment 1 verified that the inconsistency of his head direction and the direction of the ball’s caused the increase of reaction time and error rate. Experiment 2 further verified the head orientation is an important factor affecting the reaction time and accuracy. Experiment 3 verified that head fake action is independent of the response set. After the intensity of the stimuli was adjusted, the experiment 4 found that the head fake action effect affected by the intensity of the stimuli. Simon effect is added to the perception stage of feints in lab 5, which found that as an additional factor, Simon effect is added to the fake action mechanism. Experiment 6 targeted training the subjects of experiment 1, found that training can enhance the ability of detecting false action. Through discusses of the experimental results, we can appeal to the following conclusions: Conclusion 1: Head fake action can affect the response time and error rate of the observer’s judgment, and it has widely confusing to the observer. Conclusion 2: The produce of the influence of head fake action is not influenced by spatial location and the response set. Conclusion 3: head fake action of stimulus intensity is proportional to the affected degree of observers.Simon Conclusions 4: Simon effect is the additional factors of the formation mechanism of the head fake action, namely the head fake action effect contains the impact on observers of Simon. Conclusion 5: The specific training can reduce the effects of head fake action on the observer. To sum up, it is a closer step of the current study on systematic investigating and understanding the cognitive factors of the head fake in sports; And it provides the theory support for creating a scientific training method by using the head fake. It provides much specific guidance for training to overcome the head fake action. It has the theoretical and practical significance.
