As the main subject to found new substances, Organic Chemistry has a crucial role in meeting the demand for modern material. So we should pay attention to teaching organic chemistry in high school chemistry education. The education situation of organic chemistry is not optimistic in high school at present. The primal problems are as follows:(1)the textbook is imperfect, not system, and lack of logic;(2)the student’s internal reasons;(3)a sufficient and necessary learning condition does not meet. The main reason why student’s basic knowledge did not reach the sufficient and necessary condition is that the atomic structure of knowledge is not enough, the knowledge of organic compounds structure and chemistry bonds is insufficient and the understanding about structure of organic compounds is not thoroughly. Thus students can’t reach the theoretical understanding about the nature of the organic matter and just learning by purely mechanical."Structure determine the nature, the nature of the use" has been the most obvious characteristics of Organic Chemistry. So the fundamental starting point of Organic chemistry learning is to study its structure and clear its nature. Based on this, this paper is devoted to study the impact of atomic structure knowledge for students to learn the structure and properties of organic chemical bond. The atomic structure knowledge include shell and level, electron configuration style and simple sp、sp2、sp3 hybrid orbital. We focus on investigating whether the way of thinking have changed when they solving problems after supplementing related knowledge. Whether they can accept complementary knowledge and whether the complementary knowledge can change their study about Organic Chemistry. This study can be helpful in high school chemistry curriculum reform and improve the level of high school chemistry learning. It also has much theoretical and practical significance in completing high school chemistry teaching theory and guiding the teaching of high School organic chemistry.This study finds out students’ understanding about the structure of Organic compounds and the recognized method by interview survey and knowledge measurement. At the same time studying their changes in cognition and thinking about the Organics structure and the formation of chemical bonds in organic compounds, when students master the related knowledge by supplementary electron configuration style and hybrid orbital knowledge. We find:(1) Students will have a qualitative leap in understanding the structure and properties of organic compounds when mastered the atomic structure of knowledge and Orbital hybridization theory.(2)Students who mastered the atomic structure and hybrid orbital knowledge can change their minds and excavate the connotation of bond in Organic compounds actively.(3)The atomic structure and hybrid orbital knowledge can be useful to help students to construct knowledge by themselves on the basis of the existing cognitive structure and develop their thought. It also can be useful in improving national scientific literacy especially for bring up of a high level of scientific research personnel.
