Objectives Explore the present situation of medical students’ interpersonal trust and its related influencing factors, and provide the scientific basis for the improvement of medical students’ interpersonal trust, at the same time, provide basic data for the further prevention and control.Methods The study adopt the combination of random sampling and cluster sampling method to extract 600 junior college students of Chuzhou city vocational college as the research object, which is divided into two grades and five professional( Nursing, midwifery, inspection, rehabilitation and pharmacy, respectively) and then a total of 600 questionnaires were distributed.In the study, the self-designed general questionnaire was used to collect the general demographic characteristics information of the object under investigation, and the interpersonal trust scale(ITS) which is internationally recognized were adopted to evaluate the trust relationship between the medical students.And then it could analyze the influencing factors.The statistical analysis used SPSS13.0 software to process the data.Results The overall interpersonal trust score of Medical students was 79.07±8.48, slightly higher than the norm of 75 points.The score difference was statistically significant(p <0.05) on the factors such as the different professional,numbers of dormitory members, the relationship among dormitory members, the relationship between students and teachers, the degree of life satisfaction.However, there are no significant difference founded on the factors of gender, the source region of students, degree of education of parents, family economic status, family type.Univariate analysis showed that the degree of education of parents, the relationships with members of the dormitory, the relationship with the students and teachers may be the factors affect the interpersonal trust score.Factors affect life satisfaction include dormitory number, relationship with roommates, relationships with classmates, and the relationship between the teacher and the self-evaluation result, time of surfing the Internet every day and social skills.Multivariate analysis indicated that degree of education of parents and the relationship with the teachers is the main influencing factor which could affect the degree of interpersonal trust.While the relationship with roommates, the self- evaluation result, time of surfing the Internet every day and social skills could be the main influencing factors of life satisfaction.Besides, interpersonal trust and life satisfaction is positive correlation(r = 0.38, p <0.001).Conclusions Among the medical students, the level of interpersonal trust is at middle.The degree of education of parents,the relationship with teachers is the main factors affecting the degree of interpersonal trust,the relationship with roommates, the self- evaluation result, time of surfing the Internet every day and social skills may be the main influencing factors of life satisfaction.
