The Change And Influence Factors Of Interpersonal Trust For Migrants

China today is in a critical period of social transformation.Interpersonal trust,an important manifestation of social integration,plays an important role in the healthy development of society and the benign operation of the economy.In recent years,with the rapid transformation of society,the uneven distribution of resources and the widening gap between the rich and the poor have become more prominent.Population migration has become more frequent,and the size of migrants has increased substantially.Based on the China General Social Survey(CGSS)data,this study analyzes the interpersonal trust level,interpersonal trust level structure,and their changes over time for floating population,which is an important group for current society.This study also investigated the influencing factors of interpersonal trust from the aspects of individual,social resources,social participation and social environment.The study found that the migrant has the highest trust in relatives,ranking first in the past ten years.And the trust in neighbors,colleagues,and classmates ranked second to fourth.In terms of the total amount,the degree of interpersonal trust of the floating population in 2015 showed a slight upward trend.From the internal structure of interpersonal trust,it was starting from the blood relationship of the family standard,immediately enters an embedded acquaintance relationship composed of neighbors,colleagues and old classmates.The trust of open interpersonal relationships constructed through social participation was at the outermost periphery.When analyzing the influencing factors of interpersonal trust,the trust object is divided into two categories per factor analysis result: inner circle trust and outer circle trust.It can be found that the variables in social resources have a significant positive impact on the inner circle trust level of migration.The floating population with high family economic status and parents receiving a certain degree of education is more inclined to give higher evaluation to the inner circle trust.Social participation is an important channel for the trust construction in the outer circle of the floating population.The more frequent the social entertainment activities are involved,the easier it is to form social networks of different natures,and the more helpful it is to establish a bridge of mutual trust for migrants and the trust circle.The social environment has a significant positive impact on the inner and outer circle of the floating population.The government should focus on narrowing the gap between the rich and the poor,promoting social mobility,and creating a more equitable social environment in order to achieve a steady increase in the level of interpersonal trust among the floating population.
