“Problem Solving” is the main purpose in curriculum standard, and the Problem-based Learning(PBL) stresses the student as main body of learning and builds the structure of knowledge during the process of problem solving and gets experience amid real situation. The two ideas match each other well. This study concentrates the applying of PBL and the problem arising in classroom from two facets, theory and practice.First of all, the author introduced the origin of PBL with its meaning and general procedure depended on literature review. Then, we explored further about theory bases of PBL. Moreover, besides researching on reference, we did some questionnaire, interviews and observation in class. And we studied how active a student could be and whether he or she had problem consciousness during class. At last, we carried some practical PBL teaching.Our result includes four main points:1. PBL model could enhance significantly the effect of classroom teaching;2. PBL model make students become more interested in math;3. PBL model make students increased somewhat in problem posing;4. PBL model upgrade students’ strategy of solving problems.The paper reflect on the questions raised during teaching practice of PBL model and give few problems waiting for more study.
