College Students’ Ideological And Political Education In The Past Ten Years:Changes, Challenges And Optimization Strategies

Strengthening college students’ ideological and political education to improve their ideological and political quality is an important measure for training the qualified socialism builders and reliable successors, and ensuring that the cause of socialism with Chinese characteristics will thrive and have successors. Ideological and political education environment directly or indirectly affects college students’ ideological quality, which is an important factor for developing college students’ ideological and political education activities. The Document NO.16 is an important guiding document for building college students’ ideological and political education system. Since the issue of this document, the ideological and political education environment has been constantly changing during the past 10 years, therefore, the contemporary college students’ ideological and political education environment also has some new changes and challenges. So we need to do further research and optimize the environment constantly so that to improve the effect of ideological and political education.This thesis is divided into four parts.The first part is summary of ideological and political education environment, mainly from the connotation, classification of the ideological and political education environment and the interactive relationship with ideological and political education. From the classification. the ideological and political education environment is classified as the macro environment and micro environment, which is the main thread of the thesis. In general, the first part is theoretical basis to study the effects of college students’ ideological and political education environment change.The second part is about the new changes of the contemporary college students’ ideological and political education environment in the past 10 years from macro environment and micro environment. Macro environment is mainly from political, economic, cultural, ecological and social environment according to Five in One Overall Layout proposed in The 18th National Congress of Communist Party of China. The micro environment is analyzed from the school environment and peer group environment which are close to the college students and have deep influence on their study.The third part is to analyze the new challenge brought by the new environmental changes to ideological and political education during the past ten years, which is divided into three levels. The first one is about the overall envoronment including the contradiction between environmental changes’spontaneity and educators leading lag. The second one is to analyze the challenges from the point of macro environment, namely, the social ideological trend, the popularization of higher education and the new type of mass media. The third one is to discuss the challenges from the angle of school envoronment and peer group environment.The fourth part is the optimization strategies of contemporary college students’ ideological and political education environment. This chapter is based on the ideological and political education’s reaction to the ideological and political education environment, including four aspects:improving the capacity of educators’ quality, adhering to the optimization of the right direction, broadening the education methods and paths, governing and protecting the environment.
