In order to cultivate a specialized and versatile person who is well-knowledged and better adaptability, at the same time, he can adapt to the market economy and meet the needs of social development.By investigating the class hour, content, assessment and evaluation standards methods and means of teaching; Of course, it concludes the teaching level, the students’ own quality, and even the professional recognition、efficiency about the students who have the second elective course of basketball. In this article we can find out the existing problems and influence factors about the second elective course of basketball teaching. Through the study of pedagogy and teaching theory, and the discussion of teaching present situation and the mode of personnel training in Wuhan Sports University of the second elective basketball course. The author combines the present reform and development trend of physical education teaching,takes the modern education theory as fundamental, while in order to have further review of our school’s second elective basketball course. Furthermore, it can put forward the corresponding countermeasures and Suggestions in our future teaching methods, ideas, targets, contents, and team constructions, etc.(1)For wuhan sports college basketball second special students in training mode reform in general, standards, regulations, development requirements, etc., but still lagged behind the social development, the teaching effect is not obvious, so more should strengthen the second special basketball teaching outline of The Times and prospect.(2) As the traditional teaching methods and means are found in the sports of basketball teaching in colleges and universities, to some extent, the traditional teaching model is always cannot reach the desired effect, therefore it is more important to use the elicitation method of teaching or inquiry-based teaching method which is vivid and full of vitality.(3)Through the analysis of the course content, we can see that the interdisciplinary penetration and integration is insufficient. Therefore, when we emphasize the purpose of training and teaching about the second elective basketballcourse, we should pay more attention to the reasonable arrangement of course content.(4)Through the analysis of the course objective, we can see that the second elective basketball course of our school has pay more attention in the choice on ability, professional training, while ignoring the cultivation of students’ individual differences of psychology, attitudes and emotions.(5)From the student’s final grade assessment methods, it’s not difficult to see that teachers give students the final evaluation is always related with their ability,technology, theory and their performance at ordinary times. But in reality, the teachers rarely to make evaluation on these aspects, such as the student’s psychology,attitude, emotion and their ability to adapt to the society.(6)Student is the subject, the teacher to students is the subjective reasons, learning interest, basic skills, for several reasons such as teachers’ teaching time unable to increase the difficulty to explain more high level technology and tactics in the classroom.
