With the gradual and further development of new curriculum reform in education, the importance of extra-curricular reading training and reading in class guiding extra-curricular reading, are increasingly being recognized. Chinese Language and Literature Curriculum Standard has definite requirements to extra-curricular reading : the extra-curricular reading teaching is an important content of Chinese reading teaching. It is not involved concrete supervising methods for teachers guiding extra-curricular reading in the current Chinese Language teaching material. Facing this situation, teachers have difficulty in guiding extra-curricular reading.This paper conduct a suvey of Chinese extra-curricular reading of junior middle school in the first middle school of rare earth hi-tech zone in Baotou. Based on this, the paper illuminates the the status quo of Chinese extra-curricular reading of junior middle school, analyses deeply,and explore the countermeasures of Chinese extra-curricular reading:school and parents attach importance to Chinese extra-curricular reading of students,cultivate the students with the good reading habit,strengthen guiding students using the methods of reading,establish principles of Chinese extra-curricular reading of junior middle school.Also this paper tries to seek the methods to guide Chinese extra-curricular reading of junior middle school online.
