| In pace with the advancing of urbanization, the accelerating of population mobility and the decrease of school-age students, the school consolidation initiated one after another in later half of the 20th century. In the past ten years, school consolidation exposed more and more defects. Policy of school consolidation is facing a profound reform and transition. School consolidation and great change of education can have what effects on the education and culture in minority nationality. In the visual angle of multicultural education, whether it exists differences in school consolidation and the way of education between Han nationality and minority nationality. Having a deep comprehension of special issue that taken by the policy of school consolidation before and after in minority nationality is a necessary issue for the policy while in reforming and transition.Based on field investigation, this paper used qualitative research and multicultural education theory to have a deep study of school consolidation in minority nationality. By acquiring the context of economy, society and education in a special area, this paper presented localization and defects of school consolidation. On basis of empirical study, this paper directed the relationship between multicultural education theory and school consolidation. It also profoundly rethought several theoretical issues of school consolidation in minority nationality, and gave some effective strategies for them. This paper can divide into six parts.The first part of paper put forward issues to be studied, clarify the existing related research, and make the research clues and methods clear.The second and third parts describe the economic and social development situation of this case, and education background. Basing on the above, we explore the motivation, implementation situation and the policy implementation effect during the school consolidation of T town, and find T town is common with many other areas during school layout adjustment.The fourth part review internal environment factors during the period of the’post school consolidation’, including the campus environment, cultural activities, courses, language and teachers, to explore the multicultural education implementation situation of T town, in response to the cultural factors influences due to the school consolidation.The fifth part researches the external environment, which is necessary to carry out multicultural education, such as community, family economy and the NGO these external forces, and we believe that only together inside with outside of school, is the multicultural education possible to succeed.By analyzing internal and external factors of school environment in T town, the sixth part put forward effective strategy to carry out school consolidation policy, and suggestions on the multicultural education in ethnic minority areas. |
