Nowadays,the world is full of multicultural education,and whether teachers have multicultural literacy has become an urgent focus of the education circle.The rapid development of globalization makes multicultural education grow into an international frontier education.Striving to keep up with the development trend of world education is also in line with China's realistic requirements for the development of contemporary multicultural education.The Y autonomous banner of Inner Mongolia autonomous region is a multi-ethnic settlement area where diverse ethnic groups and cultures coexist and have developed since ancient times.The practice of multi-cultural education has become an inevitable choice in history.The author found that the first-hand Y junior middle school education more inclined to the national education advocated by the mainstream culture content,the proportion of heavier to learn modern knowledge,teachers' higher attention to the content of exam-oriented education,instead of multi-ethnic,multi-cultural,multicultural education of cognitive learning less,for local cultural diversity of interest is low,can't better implementing multicultural education.Multicultural education has specific requirements for multicultural literacy,and teachers' multicultural literacy is conducive to better practice of multicultural education and realize the goal of multicultural education.Local junior high school teachers lack certain multicultural literacy,and the school lacks multicultural education content.In order to realize multicultural education in Y autonomous banner of Inner Mongolia autonomous region in an all-round way,it is imperative to cultivate teachers' multicultural literacy.This paper firstly starts from the theoretical level,and sorts out relevant researches on multicultural literacy and multicultural education.Secondly,on the basis of the theories learned,it investigates the multicultural literacy and multicultural education carried out by Y autonomous banner junior middle school teachers,and finds the problems of multicultural literacy.Finally,the paper puts forward some Suggestions on strengthening the multicultural quality of middle school teachers and implementing multicultural education in Y autonomous banner of Inner Mongolia autonomous region.
