Through comparing the examples and exercises’ setting in high school mathematics textbooks of algebra between China and Japan to analysis the main problems as following three points:(1)setting characteristics in examples and exercises of algebra version of mathematics textbooks section between China and Japan Japanese;(2) the similarities and differences in examples and exercises’ setting of algebra section between the two versions;(3) discuss the principle of the preparing examples and exercises of algebra in high school. Discuss the following several aspects:Firstly, the setting characteristics in examples and exercises of algebra version of mathematics textbooks section by China PEP-A are rich background selecting, practical problems designing, significant exercise levels. The setting characteristics in examples and exercises of algebra version of mathematics textbooks section by Japan MRP are exercises focus on basic knowledge, diversified issue treatment, set simple and powerful questions.Secondly, the similarities in examples and exercises’ setting of algebra section between two versions are examples and exercises emphasize basic knowledge;basically the same proportion of configuration with the knowledge of examples; the lack of background questions in two editions; significant examples and exercises level. the differences in examples and exercises’ setting of algebra section between two versions including: a serious imbalance in allocation ratio of knowledge and exercise; correlation of examples and exercises in Japanese textbook is much more higher than Chinese; the different presentation order of exercises and Examples, exercises in Japanese textbook immediately after the examples, showing an example of a practice, but examples and exercises in Chinese are separate choreography, first example group then exercise group; design of examples are quite different, mainly reflected in the number and handling. Finally, by analyzing the characteristics and the similarities and differences inexamples and exercises in algebra section between two versions of textbook, Author combines the existing principle of establishment examples and exercises to sum up the question establishment should reflect the scientific, fundamental, process, there must be a certain flexibility, and it should also be as close to the student life.
