Objectives: By comparing the plantar pressure distribution characteristics of the football player and college students during walking, to analysis the characteristics of plantar pressure distribution in football players during walking.to analysis the characteristics of plantar pressure distribution in football players in gait when compared with the college students in gait. Methods: Among the subjects, 60 subjects participated the experience. 30 football players are second class athletes, While the other 30 participants are college students without football training experience. The characteristics of distribution of the subjects were analyzed by the Plate type plantar pressure analysis test system(Belgium). Eight indicators(foot axis; subtalar articular angle; peak pressure; maxium pressure; Peak impulse; plantar area percentage; plantar impulse percentage; time phase of the gait support) are included in this study. Results: Compared with college students, the characteristics of plantar pressure distribution in football players during walking as follows, 1. Foot axis decreases(p<0.05);2. There is an increasing trend in Subtalar joint activity. 3. The lateral of left heel, the peak pressure of the fifth metatarsal area have a significant increase; onlythe peak pressure of the medial area of the right foot have an increase(p<0.05), the peak pressure of the other areas all decrease; 4. There is an decresing trend in maxium pressure, while the maxium pressure of the lateral area of theright foot heel have a significant decrease.(p<0.05); 5. There is an decresing trend in peak impulse, especially of the medial area of the left foot heel, thefourth metatarsus area of the right foot, Arch area, and both sides of foot heel(p<0.05 or p<0.01); 6. the contact area percentage of the heel area increased significantly, there is an increasing trend in thecontact area of Foot midtown, while there is an decrease trend of the forefoot area. 7. There is a significant increase of the forefoot impulse(p<0.05), while there is a decrease trend of the foot midtown and the heel. 8. The period of gift support decreased significantly(p<0.01),there is a decrease trend of the second time phase of the left foot; there is a significant decrease of the third phase of the right foot(p<0.05), while the fourth phase have an increase(p<0.05).Conclusion: Compared with college students, combined with the character of football training, conclusion of this study are as follows, the player after long-term football training, 1. The balance and coordination of the lower limbs would increase; 2. The muscle strength and power mobilization order would change asymmetric, the barycenter of thebody will offset to the left habitually during walking;3. the resistant ability increase when the foot were battered; 4. the buffer capacity of the foot were improve, but the distribution of plantar impulse were transferred, resulting in the forefoot metatarsal area of the football players prone to fatigue; 5. the ability to protect the forefoot were enhanced during walking;6. the walking speed increased, at the same time, the increase of the phase from the ground would protectthe lower limbs.
