With the alarming rate of rapid development of information techenology, enhance information literacy, culture of creativity is becoming the theme of the times. Scratch was a software developed by MIT,which is for children to learn graphical programming,playing a more and more important role in the field of children’s programming. This paper analyzes the current research of scratch programming at home and abroad, proposes the necessity and importance of the discussion of the teaching methods of scratch programming. The paper tries to construct the teaching model of the scratch programming based on DBL and the Constructivist theory, and design its operational processes. The research method employed in this article reviewed has two categories: the action research method and the quasi-experimental studies. The writer implements the teaching model to the scratch programming curriculum on5 grade students, and collects the teaching model implementation process relevant data, analyzes the effectiveness of their teaching. Finally, the paper gives the suggestion of implementing this teaching model and summarized that the work done in this study and noted deficiencies exist in the present study.The study shows that: DBL teaching enrich the students’ learning process, different learning ability people in this teaching model behaved differently; and DBL is an efficient way to develop students’ higher order skills, creative ability, and innovation ability, which is of great significance for students.
