Patriotism is love for your country, allegiance to the Motherland, the desire to serve its interests and willingness to defend it. Patriotism is respect for the centuries-long history and traditions of the country, its cultural wealth, and unique experience of coexistence of hundreds of peoples and languages ??on the territory of Russia. It is responsibility for the country and its future. Patriotic education of young generations has always been one of the most important goals of modern school, as childhood and youth are the most grateful time for cultivating a sense of sacred love for the Motherland. Patriotic education means gradual and steady instilling in children a sense of pride for their Motherland and fellow citizens, and respect for its great achievements and dignified pages of the past. Patriotic education, being part of the wide educational process, is a systematic and purposeful activity of the public authorities and non-governmental organizations aimed at forming high patriotic consciousness of the citizens, a sense of loyalty to the Motherland, readiness to perform their civic duty and constitutional duty to protect the interests of the Motherland.This research analyzes the current patriotic education in Russia and examines the measures taken to improve this process. The research examines the contemporary Russian understanding of patriotic education; studies the regulatory framework of patriotic education implementation and its problems; analyzes the measures taken to improve patriotic education in Russia. The purpose of the research is by describing the current situation of the Russian patriotic education to promote the understanding of the system of Russian education by the Chinese people. This research uses the following methods: method of analyzing literature and investigation method.The research covers the following aspects: the analysis of the current situation of patriotic education in Russia, studying the issues and problems of implementation of patriotic education, studying the measures taken to improve thepatriotic education.
