A Social Education Heritage Study On Chuanqing Nuoopera In Nayong Of Guizhou Province

Nuo opera is a religious ritual to drive away devils and disease. It is handed down from ancient times. There are Nuo Operas in various parts of China, and the Guizhou Nuo opera is the most famous. Guizhou Nuo opera has many different styles with much research and academic values. Nuo opera is known as the “living fossil of Chinese theater culture” and “living fossil of Chinese primitive culture”. Chuanqing Nuo opera, known locally as “tiao pusa”, is a unique kind of local Nuo opera which is popular in northwest of Guizhou. Because local residents worship “wuxian God” and then worship “wuxian altar”, this local opera is also known as “celebrate wuxian altar” or “celebrate the altar”. A grand ritual for the ancestors of local residents held every year.Chuanqing Nuo Opera’s core functions are the art function, educational function and religious function, also with social and entertainment features. This paper selects the Nayong County in Bijie City of Guizhou Province as the field point. The author surveyed Chuanqing region by direct, prolonged, anthropological fieldwork. From the actual situation, the author uses the cultural consciousness theory and the hierarchy needs theory as the theoretical support. From the perspective of educational anthropology, the author analyzes this culture’s value, social status of inheritance, social education heritage problems and summarizes heritage experience. And then find out a better way of social inheritance, some suggestions for local Nuo Opera’s development and heritage and make some contribution to the later research.This paper analyzes and researches Chuanqing Nuo opera from the following four sections:Chapter One: Overview the Chuanqing Nuo opera in Nayong county. From introduced Chuanqing Nuo opera’s background, origin, performances and features. Starting from this social background, totally introduced the Chuanqing Nuo opera’s.Chapter Two: Chuanqing Nuo opera’s features and the function of social heritage. Chuanqing Nuo opera is a rare traditional folk culture, reacting their nation’s character and style. In the process of social inheritance, it has a rich set of features, where art feature is the most direct function of its performance. At the same time, it also has some function. It shows the meaning and spirit to humanity from different sides. This chapter discussed the Chuanqing Nuo opera’s function and features from social education heritage to demonstrate the unique of Chuanqing Nuo opera.Chapter Three: The social education heritage status about Chuanqing Nuo opera. In Shabao Township, we found that Chuanqing Nuo opera heritage exists in the natural way. Chuanqing Nuo opera’s native heritage ways include special ceremonies heritage and traditional family heritage. School heritage and social education heritage is Chuanqing Nuo opera’s modern heritage ways. This study from social education heritage, one kind of Chuanqing Nuo opera’s heritage ways, analyzes and discusses the specific approach of Chuanqing Nuo opera’s social education heritage and finds out the experience and the plight in the process of Chuanqing Nuo opera’s social education heritage.Chapter Four: Suggestions of Chuanqing Nuo opera’s social education heritage. From the perspective of society education heritage, the author using educational anthropology methods, considering the social, educational, ethnic and faith aspects, results its necessity and importance of Chuanqing Nuo opera’s heritage. At last, the author finds out the Chuanqing Nuo opera’s social education heritage ways and suggestions which are following the pace of the times and practical.
