With the growing concern of quality education,chemistry education also pays more attention to students’ chemical quality education.Chemical education contains chemical knowledge, chemical methods, chemical thoughts,chemical ability and the development of interest,to train students’ interest is the most important thing among them in non-intelligence factors trainning. Methods to arouse students’ interest by teaching frontier knowledge was extended into the chemistry teaching.This kind of methods are closer to reality,science and technology.In middle school chemistry classes,there are specific and clear requirements about teaching frontier knowledge in “full-time compulsory chemistry education curriculum standards(2011 edition)” and “requirements of the ordinary high school chemistry curriculum standards(experimental)”,so facing new requirements,some teachers’ a single method will not work anymore.Not only there are few literatures about convergence content of chemical frontier knowledge and chemistry teaching,but also some problems and shortages that farfetched application,easy understanding application,unknown origin application,transitional using and so on. but also in order to improve middle school chemistry teaching quality,the writer researched and designed some cases about the usage of chemical frontier knowledge,after reading new curriculum standards and studying new course book in detail.This thesis collected the specific requirements in new curriculum standards about education of chemical frontier knowledge.based on the research of related literatures and analysis of “full-time compulsory chemistry education curriculum standards(2011 edition)”and “requirements of the ordinary high school chemistry curriculum standards “.We collected carrier,content,modes of presentation and presentation columns of frontier knowledge through statistical content analysis in junior and senior high school textbooks.And through a detailed comparative analysis,I found the convergence points of chemical frontier knowledge and teaching contents of PEP edition in junior and senior high school.For example,leading part of chemical frontier knowledge,frontier knowledge and extended teaching contest,leading of knowledge theme classes, using frontier knowledge as the background material for exercise and so on.In order to arouse students’ interest,the writer designed a number of cases by using frontier,scientific and interesting features of frontier knowledge,based on the requirements in the new curriculum and directed by Bruner’s discovery learning theory,Maslow’s hierarchy of needs and Piaget’s theory of cognitive development.The information in all cases had fixed positions and offered design intention.These chemical frontier knowledge can be used as materials to create chemistry teaching circumstances, complement of chemistry teaching content,expand of chemical knowledge and methods to improve chemical capabilities.Through research I got the following conclusions: the application of chemical frontier knowledge to PEP high school chemistry teaching content can be used as extended reading materials and background materials for exercise and intervening of classroom teaching relevant information.The frontier knowledge plays a significant role in teaching chemistry,but some teachers don’t take this so seriously in reality teaching condition.So I think teachers need to renew their concepts all the time,keep self-improving and learning frontier knowledge and provide more platform to enable students to learn chemical frontier knowledge.
