The new curriculum standard promulgated and implemented in China in 2017 clearly aims to cultivate students’ core literacy.Chemical frontier knowledge is part of the chemistry curriculum and plays an important role in cultivating students’ core literacy.Integrate chemical frontier knowledge into classroom teaching,so that students not only know the present,but also understand the future to meet the needs of social development.The thesis reviews the literature on chemical frontier knowledge and understands its current research status.Combining the characteristics of chemistry and the research of scholars,the thesis defines related concepts such as chemical core literacy and chemical frontier knowledge.The middle school chemistry textbooks are sorted out from the chapter content,the frontier knowledge and the core literacy of the disciplines.It is found that there are problems such as less frontier knowledge and less timely knowledge update.The chemistry frontier knowledge involved in the Yantai High Examination Volume in 2016-2018 and the Yantai Middle examination paper in2013-2018 were sorted out,and the proportion of frontier knowledge was found to be increasing.It can be seen that the importance of chemical frontier knowledge has increased.In order to understand the application of chemical frontier knowledge in teaching,questionnaires are conducted for teachers and students.There are problems in which teachers neglect to explain frontier knowledge,students only care about basic knowledge,and class is not enough to explain frontier knowledge.In order to solve the problems existing in the teaching of chemical frontier knowledge,a practical and feasible solution strategy is proposed: the frontier knowledge is introduced into the new course,as the background of the problem,as the teaching content,as the inquiry teaching,as the cultivation of students’ scientific literacy and as after-school reading etc.Combining the principles and strategies of cutting-edge knowledge in teaching,the teaching design of frontier knowledge is carried out on the contents of "Molecular Changes" and "Methane".In combination with the progress of the school in practice,the teaching design of "Marine Chemical Resources" incorporating chemical frontier knowledge will be implemented in the experimental class.In order to understand the effect of the case implementation,questionnaires were conducted for the students in the experimental class and the control class,and the teachers in the lectures were interviewed.The results show that: 1.The students in the experimental class have a significant improvement in the degree of knowledge and interest in the knowledge of chemical frontiers.2.Experience the close relationship between chemical frontiers and real life and social development.3.Experience the hardships of scientific inquiry,form correct scientific concepts,and then cultivate students’ scientific literacy and core accomplishment.4.In the process of teaching,it is necessary to infiltrate the knowledge of chemical frontiers for a long time,so that students can learn scientific thinking methods and develop the habit of using scientific methods to solve problems.The use of chemical frontier knowledge to create situations can stimulate students’ interest in learning chemistry and mobilize the enthusiasm of classroom learning;the development of frontier knowledge as a teaching content can satisfy students’ curiosity,enrich students’ knowledge and broaden students’ horizons;The scientific thinking and scientific spirit of the scientific researcher can be conveyed to the students,and the scientific quality of the students can be cultivated,so as to cultivate the core literacy of the students;the chemical frontier knowledge scientifically explains the future development trend of the society,and can help students understand the present and grasp the future.
