Research On The Main Press Centre Project Risk Management Of The 45~th FIG Artistic Gymnastics World Championships

The 45th FIG Artistic Gymnastics World Championships which is to be held in Nanning is the second time for China to host the competition after the 34th in Tianjin. It is also the first time for China to run world class sports event in ethnic minority area. For Guangxi, to organize this world class single-sport event will go beyond a great gathering of this sport, it’s a rare opportunities to reveal Guangxi to the world, to demonstrate the harmonious and unity between different ethnic groups in China, to improve the effectiveness of China in ASEAN and promote the exchanges of sports & culture between China and ASEAN.This essay takes the Main Press Centre(MPC) project of the 45th FIG Artistic Gymnastics World Championships which aims to provide service to the media as the object of study. According to the character of risk in MPC operation of major sports event, to structure the project risk fishbone chart on the basis of elaborate the fundamental state and the function of the MPC, in this way, the author have done the risk identification of the launching phase, the construction phase, competition phase and the post-competition phase, and it comes out with 12 risk sources and 29 specific risks. Through the construction of the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation model of the project risk, the author found out the project risk maximum value reaches 0.356 in vector matrix S and the risk grade reached V4 (medium-low level). The figure tells that the MPC project don’t have a great risk, and among all the phases, the competition phase has the highest probability of risks.After the project-risk identification and evaluation, the author proposes 29 respectively coping approaches to the 29 risk projects follow the coping strategies of risk aversion, risk deflection, risk mitigation and risk retention, the author categorized the projects according to its applicable strategies. Meanwhile, the content and procedure of the MPC risk monitoring is put forward along with the specific coping measures of the MPC project considering 4 perspectives respectively:project design and construction, improvement of the service system, maintaining system and security system.
