Recently, with the development of Chinese economy and modernization, the demands of talents increases unceasingly, and professionals and technicians of high quality become the pillar of the whole society. In order to adapt to the national development and the demand for talents, sociologists, psychologists pay more and more attention to the process of teaching and learning. At present, the number of China’s middle school students is about 44401000. But in the present English teaching practice in middle school, there are still some problems. For example the teaching form and content are too monotonous and the form weighs over content. In the high school curriculum standard implementation process, how to construct and promote the comprehensive development of students ability of English classroom teaching system, how to make the classroom teaching content more effectively transmitted to the students, have become a research topic of great practical significance.Therefore, this thesis will take the effectiveness of the game method in middle school English teaching as the object of study.Try to understand the shortcomings of teaching methods at the present stage in middle school English teaching through the experiments and the questionnaires, in comparison with the use of game teaching method and the experimental object in English in order to prove that the method is effective for middle school students English teaching. At the same time, through the questionnaire survey to investigate the students’ cognition and interest in the game approach in English teaching, find whether it can truly improve the middle school students’ interest in English study.Through this study, we can draw the following conclusions:(1) the game teaching method is a kind of teaching method, a bridge between teachers and students and a free communication platform between teachers and students. As a basic method of English teaching, game teaching method plays an important role in improving the quality of teaching and stimulating students’interest in learning English.(2),through test scores in class students’ evaluation by themselves, teachers’ evaluation, this experiment will have a check on the effect of the game teaching method in English learning process about the effect of teaching content, knowledge reception, the stimulation of interest in English learning and other aspects. From the study results, the game teaching method has a good effect on middle school English teaching process. The game method of English teaching has an active finfluence on arousing students’ interest, students’ innovative ability, team cooperation consciousness and other aspects.(3) Based on the affirmation of the active effects of the game teaching method, this thesis offers some valuable suggestions through dealing well with the relationship between games and knowledge, controlling games well, preparing well before games and guiding the process reasonably, according to the problems existing in our English teaching.Through this study, this paper aims to provide real and effective experimental results in hope of helping improve the quality of English Teaching in middle schools in our country and make our English education in junior high develops healthily.
