| As a significant resource of online teaching, multimedia courseware provides the learners with elegant rich learning materials. At present most network courseware is designed by embedding a variety of media files in PPT or web pages for browsing, downloading and watching, this way not only takes up a lot of storage spaces, but can’t play contents in real time when network congestion, moreover, it loses the control in timeline. In order to achieve the reuse of the scattered learning resources and tissue regeneration, this paper makes a research on learning resource component fusion technology which is based on time synchronization, and hopes to make the SMIL courseware presentation which is similar to the streaming media playback to solve the problems like structure redundancy, large volume, not suitable for real-time transmission in the network broadcast and so on in traditional multimedia teaching courseware. The main work includes:Firstly, applying the modular concept in learning resources, it lays a theoretical foundation for the creation SMIL documents. Secondly, establishing a basic multimedia component metadata model which is based on LOM to describe the resource component and proposing the courseware logical structure for data retrieving and resource managing on our platform. Thirdly, considering the complexity of SMIL time synchronization model, we introduce a model named Hierarchical SMIL Petri Net which is based on Petri net to check the temporal consistency of the SMIL specification in the process of integration. Fourthly, generating SMIL courseware documents dynamically by DOM technology after the increasing editing is finished and users can watch and control the SMIL multimedia presentations through the platform. According to the above work, this article designs a multimedia courseware authoring system based on SMIL, in addition to provide learning resource component searching, browsing, uploading and registering; it also realize integrating to make the video, audio, text and images synchronizing, displaying learning contents in the form of video and audio playback. So authors can use a simple SMIL courseware authoring tools to assemble their own courseware by extracting media components from the component repository after some training and practising.Net multimedia courseware is essentially based on online multimedia resources management. The Synchronized Multimedia Integration Language (SMIL, pronounced smile) has been designed by the W3C, for choreographing multimedia presentations where audio, video, text and graphics are combined in real time. Although is not tailored for the network education, it can be able to resolve the network courseware lightweight transmission and resource sharing, with the W3C efforts, SMIL has become an integral part of the Web infrastructure for desktop and mobile devices. The thesis mainly uses SMIL to create network courseware and guarantees the time consistency to some extent, it lays a certain foundation on diversified development of multimedia network teaching courseware and application of handheld devices. |
