Nowadays we are in an image reading times when pictures becoming the key-factor. This information communication carrier produced by the digital information technology gives birth to a new field of research and design- courseware design. But makers are accustomed to selecting and piling up all kinds of material, filling the text with their own aesthetic, however, for the evaluation standards is too simple; the effect of education is still not known. In the field of visual culture, we find the method to make the courseware a better effect, achieve more functions, also the answer of its future development.This study is based on visual culture theory, the origin of the culture; the cultural trait and the development tendency are combed,the conception “visual courseware design” is proposed based on the view that vision is the core of this visual culture. In analyze of this conception, the intersection of visual culture and courseware design is found, and based on the four theories: color matching; graphic use; video produce and design flow, the method how to instruct courseware design with visual culture is worked out. In this study, courseware game design is taken for an example, with empirical research; the point courseware design itself is practice of visual culture theory is validated.This study shows that courseware design with visual culture as scientific instruction is not only art level presentative guidance, but also a full range of guidance like technique application, text conversion, effects expectation and significance guidance etc., updating the courseware design technology and ideas with current theoretical development of visual culture, determining the future form of courseware through visual culture development direction. The value of this study is the cross- disciplinary research, taking “visual courseware design” as the connecting point with visual culture, forecasting future development of coursework by visual culture development.
