Research On Strategies And Management Of Primary School English Teaching In Large Classes

No matter which school district they live in, Parents sent their children to prestigiousschools which have experienced teachers and modern facility. Class size of primary orsecondary schools inclines to larger and larger one. There are lots of problems of teachinglarge classes. Many teachers put a negative attitude on teaching large classes, like out ofcontrol, hard to arrange class activities or impossible to exchange information.I encountered those problems myself when teaching large classes. Those problems doharms to children’s education and teacher’s motivation. Since class size could not be reduced,how to face and cope with it becomes a real and inevitable challenge.I researched into situation of classroom management in large classes by means ofdocumentary study and survey method, etc. In this article, Weicheng Shiyan primary schoolwas illustrated as an example, challenges and suggestions were explicated as well.Improvement of teacher’s skill and technique, student’s self-discipline, and classroommanagement efficiency plus discipline with Dignity will promote student’s all-rounddevelopment.
