The globalization trend brings us the economic and technical challenge. At the same time,our cultural field and ideological position also suffer from the impact of western thoughts andconcepts. How to keep ideological and cultural position and how to carry out the nationalspirit education to keep and develop the national excellent culture and tradition is ratherimportant for our national future and destiny and for the inheriting of “Chinese soul”.University students act as the main force of the construction of our country and inheritors ofour nation in the future. We especially need to carry the national spirit education on them inorder that they can keep the unique spirit and energy of Chinese nation and remain invinciblein the competition of the globalization. Through the survey of the students of Nanjing TechUniversity, it is found that the national spirit of university students is positive overall. But dueto the impact of four factors from society, school, family and oneself, there are some problemssuch as the sense of worth as opposed to the actual behavior, the weaker nationalconsciousness and the lack of both the sense of national mission and the sense of the socialresponsibility. Take attribution analysis of the four factors above, from the standpoint ofsociety, China is during the period of the social transformation. And we need developing theeconomic foundation. But we can’t place extra emphasis on it too much for it will cause thevacancy of our people. With the Globalization trend becoming more evident, the national conscience will be filled with some negative thoughts. The native Chinese national sprit willbe difficult to be accepted by our people. Therefore, the Government must strengthen thecultural innovation, Play a role of guidance and education of advanced culture. Also, thegovernment should purify the social atmosphere in order to create a good national spiriteducation environment. And the government should establish and improve the security systemof national spirit education. From the standpoint of school, some schoolmasters ignore theimportance of students’ national spirit education. Utilitarian education also affects the effect ofthe students’ national spirit. The leaders of the university must attach great importance to theideological and political education theory and increase the investment in the disciplineconstruction at the same time make full use of campus media for the recessive education onuniversity students. From the standpoint of family some parents with low quality and weaknational consciousness, can’t perform well in the initial education of children. What’s more,their bad behavior left a bad effect on their children. The community should regularly holdnational spirit education seminars and other activities to educate the residents to foster theirnational consciousness. From the standpoint of the university students, the university studentsare in adolescent, their view of the world, life and values are highly malleable. They get stronginterest for new things and easily accept a variety of alien cultures without distinction.Therefore, the university students should strengthen self-education and improve their qualityand recognition capabilities.In this paper, the author discuss the core of education and the relationship between“Chinese Dream” and the Chinese national spirit, stressed the importance of national spiriteducation.These are some of the innovations of this article.
