With the deepening curriculum reform of kindergarten in our country and the promulgated of <the guide of children’s learning and development from3-6>, young children’s self-directed learning is getting more and more attention. Area activity is an important form of children’s self-directed learning, mathematics area activity is one of these types. Mathematical area can provide freely material in mathematics learning activities for young children, and it is also a good place in mathematics education of team or individual study. This study in reference to the" kindergarten education activities in Fujian province conservation evaluation guidance (for trial implementation)" for "the kindergarten area education activity evaluation sheet", with school classroom observation list as the research tool, using the method of observation table record, combined with the on-the-spot investigation method, interview method, case analysis, around the set, area activities, material delivery, teachers’ direction and the activities of young children in A kindergarten, this study present situation research performance in the five aspects. Analyzing its existing problems and reasons, aiming at the problem put forward to the strategy of improving the effectiveness of kindergarten mathematics area activities.
