Since the implementation of China’s family planning policy, over30years of history, as a public policy, it is the need of social development, the ease of rapid population growth and the eradication of poverty, promotion of economic development, it has made a huge contribution, but also led to the loss of a large number of single family produce. As the only child leave the family alone lost economic support, life care, pension and other spiritual consolation and will face enormous challenges, family planning for such a special family, the community should be given adequate attention. Loss of independence for multiple family difficulties currently exist, the author proposes to social work intervention alone lost family through social work professionally as a guide, the application of professional methods, techniques to gradually help the family out of the woods loss of independence and rebuild social networks. Specific mainly from the micro and macro levels of social work to illustrate:microscopic aspects, mainly from the social work cases, professional team approach to solve the macro level, mainly through improving government and social organizations, communities and other functions play a role.This paper introduces the background and significance of the study, on the basis of the current academic literature on China’s loss of independence on the family to sort out, and then lost in the definition of family is defined on the basis of independence further analysis of the psychological loss of independence groups generally facing economic, pension, social inclusion and other difficulties, followed by the theory expounded perspective of social work and related intervention, combined with the plight of lost independence groups to explore specific cases, micro-group interventions and macro social work interventions, the last of the use of Social Work professional approach to intervene in the plight of missing family alone summary and reflection, in order to improve the efficiency of social work intervention alone lost family dilemma.
