| Each person’s behavior habits vary, so do our students. Such individual differences result in the fact that students are of high or low academic grades. As for geography learning in middle school, learning disabilities are very common. Combined with classroom observation theory and study of students’ learning state in class, this paper has discovered the factors restricting the behavior of the students, and put forward the corresponding solving strategy. In seeking the reasons for students’learning disabilities, this paper adopts such research methods as the classroom observation, literature researching, questionnaire survey and interviewing.Based on the results of the surveys and analyses, it is not difficult to see that there is not much difference between the students’intelligence level, but their behavior habits vary a lot. The three mechanisms of learning motivation are learning interests, learning behavior habits and target systems of learning. The research object of this thesis is students with poor basis, who seem to be failures in learning and have much psychological frustration! Such students are not able to find interest in learning, for they have never experienced the delight of learning. Those who are seemingly interested in geography focus on not necessary geographical knowledge but on those interesting geographical anecdotes. With the present education system which makes teachers loaded with great pressure and too large a class with so many students, each teacher feels too busy to have enough time to care about the psychological changes of low students in learning. Instead the teachers tend to appeal to some simple ways of management such as scolding, criticizing and mocking, which will eventually result in loss of trust between students and teachers. And this makes the students more difficult to believe in their teachers and be ready to accept their teachers’lessons.In order to change the situation in which the students have some learning disabilities, we should pay more attention to students’ psychology. We should put more efforts to changing students’learning habits, establishing their confidence in learning, employing positive teaching methods and trying to find their spots worthy to be praised and encouraged. At the same time, we should try to make students experience the joy of learning. We should well design our teaching steps of each lesson and try to make the whole lesson lively and interesting, which can also help form students’ good behavior habits of learning and finally form a virtuous cycle. |
