The evolving ubiquitous computing technology is gradually permeating into our learning and living, and has changed the traditional learning and lifestyle. It makes our learning no longer be confined to the traditional classroom. The time and space, theories and methods of learning have tremendous changes. A new way of Ubiquitous Learning (U-learning) emerged, and it receives catholic concern and favor, and also attracted lots of attention and research of many scholars in the field of education. The elements affected U-learning are wide variety and ever-changing. How to choose equipment, technology, methods and situation reasonable in order to achieve better learning effect? These problems make the design of U-learning environment become a guiding practical study. However, the current domestic and foreign researches are not sufficiently for how to design a rational and efficient U-learning environment effectively. There has not yet formed a unified complete guide strategy for the design of U-learning environment.In this article, the author takes U-learning environment as the study object, and the rational design of environmental as the research objective. On the basis of summarizes the current development and study situation of U-learning at domestic and foreign, I draw other environmental design, and then combine the characteristics and classification of the U-learning elements, through the analysis of typical cases of U-learning, the elements of U-learning environment are hierarchically divided to form the elements frame of U-learning environment.On the basis of the elements framework of U-learning environment, according to the hierarchical relationship of these elements, by analyzing and thinking in U-learning case, I summed up a set of practical and available design strategies of U-learning environment, and collate the principle and precautions each policy followed, to make the design of U-learning environment can be gradually realized according to the design strategies and become a design process with rules to followed. I also invited three experts in the field of educational technology to amend and review the design strategies.Finally, according to the basic available design strategy I actually designed a video-based U-learning case. Using different equipment in different situation of different learning content, reflect the characteristics of ubiquitous learning as much as possible, at the same times, I invited ten students in educational technology professional to experience the learning. Through a series of preparations and instructions, with the explanation and presentation about the process of U-learning, I observe the entire learning process, and gather information and collect data through interviews and surveys after learning to find the drawback and problems in the actual application case. The availability and effectiveness of design strategies is verified.I hope that on the basis of the based constitute framework of elements of U-learning environment and the general design strategy of U-learning environment, constantly optimize the design of elements to make it more specific and conform the real situation of learning and making the environmental design more effective. Moreover, counter to the continuous development of the information technology, more potential equipment and technology should be discovered to apply into the field of education, making the elements of U-learning environment continuously expanded, and the design strategy to be more close to realities, the design of U-learning environment to be more and more mature.
