With the development of society, especially the government pay much moreattention to the vocational education, vocational education has been rapid development.With the deepening of reform and updating of technology, the high vocational school’sinternal and external environment has undergone tremendous changes, the campus crisisevents have occurred, and there is a trend towards extreme development. The crisis willnot only undermine the stability and the order of the campus, but also bring physicaland mental trauma to the teachers and students. The government and the public payclose attention to the crisis, and put forward higher requirements of crisis managementof high vocational school.This requires high vocational school thought deeply about the causes andcharacteristics of campus crisis, finding out the problems in crisis management, improvecrisis management strategy. Only in this way, high vocational school can effectivelyprevent and cope with the crisis, and to reduce the risk and the loss to the lowest degreeof crisis.In this paper, the causes and coping strategies of high vocational school events arethe main object of study, the basic connotation, types and basic theory of highvocational school events have been explored, and the general characteristics of thecurrent crisis on campus were analyzed. Based on a survey of five high vocationalschools in Changzhou City, combined with management practice in Changzhou artsvocational school, the author conduct causes of the crisis from the social environment,campus management, family education and students’ psychological, and puts forwardthe corresponding principles of vocational school crisis response and the basic countermeasures to prevent crisis events.
