With the continuous development of new media technology, humans are quick toenter complete information age.3g networks have spread, China has begun to enterthe era of4g, South Korea is claimed to be complete in20205g network coverage.From the perspective of Internet terminals, personal computers, smart phones, alreadypopular, GOOGLE glasses of various wearable communication equipment isgradually follow up. The development of science and technology make long-distancecommunication between people of low cost benefit, increasing speed, the frequency ishigher and higher, driven by people social mode, life style and so on a series ofchange. The new media era has arrived.The current university students after90is the original inhabitants of the Internetis grown up with the boom of the Internet and of generation. Network is anindispensable part of contemporary college students’ life. As a result, their thoughtidea, behavior and consumption idea have been deeply branded with the new mediaage.The new media era is coming with no regret. On the basis of the new media, theold ideas, social structure, the working ways are caving, such as large reversedtransmission such as cultural media industry transformation. In such an era of changeconstantly to survive, the ideological and political education is facing a greatchallenge, the ideological and political education workers under pressure. But shouldsee is at the same time, the new media technology also bring the opportunity. Fullyunderstand the new media era of college students’ ideological and political educationwork opportunities and challenges, foster strengths and circumvent weaknesses,pursuing new and change, is an important task of the contemporary ideological andpolitical education.According to the "what-why-how to do" structure, the framework of the fulltext altogether five parts:The first part is introduction, mainly introduced in this paper, the background and significance of the research, research status both at home and abroad, the paperresearch idea and method and difficult point of research and innovation points, etc.The second part, an overview of new media and the theory of ideological andpolitical education effectiveness, to interpret the core concepts. Analyzed theconnotation of college students’ ideological and political education effectiveness,namely, educators, education object, education media and education wreath,relationship, put forward countermeasures for the following from the four angles ofgroundwork.The third part, the paper analyzes the new media era, the ideological and politicaleducation is faced with what difficulties, such as: educators own positioning andcomprehensive quality is difficult to adapt to the new media era needs; Educationobject stage psychological characteristics and individual differences increase thedifficulty of the ideological work, The subject matter of education, backwardeducation content and method of the single, lack of appeal; Education increasinglycomplex ring body, induced differentiations education system. At the same timeshould see,"a coin has two sides", give birth to the development of new mediatechnology itself opportunities, including innovation of rich education content,education method, mobilized the subjectivity of object of ideological and politicaleducation, improve the education activity of acceptability and timeliness, etc.The fourth part from the educator, education object, education media andeducation annulus four aspects, to explore ways to improve the real effect of theideological and political education, namely (1) educators aspects: changing educationconcept, improve the overall quality;2. The educatees aspects: to improve medialiteracy, cultivating rational critical spirit;3. Education media aspects: full use of newmedia, broaden the field of ideological and political education;4. Education wreathaspects: family, school and social interaction, forming the ideological and politicaleducation resultant force.The last is the conclusion, briefly elaborated the research significance anddeficiencies of this article.
