Study On The Application Of Function And Equation Thought In Mathematics

Mathematical thinking method is always the main content of college entranceexamination each year, the function and equation methods occupy an important positionamong four major ways of thinking since they involves widespread aspects. Therefore,researching them is valuable to teaching and problem solving. Here I will carry out theresearch from the following three aspects:First, from theoretical research on thought, method and thinking method, function,equation and function and equation, I will clarify the concepts, similarities and differencesamong these theories. Meanwhile, I will also collate related research contents and itsprogress at home and abroad.Second, from practical research, I will choose some students in our school to do thequestionnaire and test investigation in order to find out existing problems students have onlearning function and equation thinking method so that I can come up with solutions tothese problems by means of statistic analysis.Third, from application research, I will analyze and summarize the application offunction and equation method on the transformation of function and equation, inequalityand series, trigonometric function, analytic geometry and solid geometry and problemsolving. At the function and equation method, the conversion between function andequation and the application in inequality, sequence, trigonometry, analytic geometry, solidgeometry and the applied problems. Then, I will analyze and summarize the connectionamong function and equation method and symbolic-graphic combination, classifieddiscussion and reduction and transformation.I wish that my research can in the aspects of function and equation in the content ofhigh school mathematics teachers’ teaching, students’ learning to provide certain help andinspiration.
