Poor students in our college account for large proportion.poor students thinking healthproblems are becoming increasingly an important subject of ideological and politicaleducation research. The traditional ideological and political education of poverty does notdistinguish between refinement and common ideological and political education of collegestudents. This result is that the school can not really grasp the psychological state of poorstudents, the ideological and political education workers also will not be able to grasp theactual situation of poor students and do effectively counseling and ideological and politicaleducation. At present, China has introduced a series of policies for poor students and fundingguidelines, these policies in terms of employment, funding, and education to provide help andsupport to poor students. However, our thoughts and mental health for poor students has paidinsufficient attention, which resulted in poor students an idea of reform and developmentissues, affecting harmony and stability in campus.Therefore, in order to strengthen the ideological and political education of poor students,we should change the traditional mode of ideological and political education, build poorstudents thinking actively file. Have a “one to one" conversation with poor students regularly.Also pay attention to the poor students of socialist values education, help them to establishhealthy and positive outlook on life and values. In addition, caring for the poor should be animportant part of poor college students’ ideological and political education. Allow poorstudents to integrate into the University, learn and live in a respectful and fair environment.
