This research studied the application of multimedia in junior middle school Chinese teaching and offered suggestions and recommendations for current problems in this process, after seriously considering the status quo, necessity and feasibility of multimedia teaching in middle school Chinese teaching. It aims to improve the implementation of multimedia in teaching process, therefore achieving higher teaching efficiency and better learning results for Chinese teaching in middle schools.Chapter One describes and compares status quo of multimedia application in teaching in China and other countries, to find that it is necessary implement multimedia in middle school Chinese teaching for China has long fallen behind to its counterparts. In Chapter Two, the necessity of multimedia in junior middle school Chinese teaching is clarified through three aspects, namely, its superiority, the role it plays in improving teaching and the requirement by informationization orientation of teaching reform. Chapter Three studies its feasibility of multimedia application to junior middle school Chinese teaching, including, theoretical feasibility, access to facility and the acceptance of students based on its current situation and necessity described in Chapter One and Chapter Two.Chapter4is mainly about technical features of multimedia teaching. In this chapter, the author made a comprehensive analysis of questions that three behaviors should pay attention of. Questions that teachers should note during the process of multimedia teaching are:Cannot forget main tasks; the missing responsibility of teachers in the process of teaching; following the beaten track; a large amount of information without a reasonable trade-off; the transition of teachers’ idea; moderate emotional communication in multimedia classroom. Questions that students should pay attention to are:ignorance of independent induction and thought; too lazy to summarizing and taking notes; the change of roles; treating and using network language correctly. In the end, the author analyzed questions that education authorities should look out. On this basis, chapter5raised some concrete suggestions for a reasonable use of multimedia teaching, including the following aspects:media courseware making should be in line with the setting of texts; using multimedia resources to supplement gaps in students’knowledge structures; by breaking through the difficulty and strengthening the key to enhance the teaching effect; promoting the formation of students’after-school self-learning ability.
