To promote autonomous learning, is one of the objectives of the new curriculum reform, is the inevitable requirement of quality-oriented education. Beginning with the basic concept of this paper from the independent inquiry learning mode, the Sixth Middle School of Jinghai County as an example, through a questionnaire survey of students in senior high school history teaching learning situation, existing problems and its reasons of self exploration is discussed, and on this basis, the new curriculum reform to provide the conditions, combined with the practice of history teaching in middle school, how to train the student’s independent study way and measures of learning, improve students learning interest and ability of self exploration, the exploration and research.
